BRADLEY D. SMITH

Cheif Executive Officer

Bradley D. Smith is a 1980 graduate from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree concentrating in real estate and marketing.

 

Mr. Smith has over forty years' experience in the commercial real estate business with emphasis in retail development, leasing, brokerage and management.  On January 1, 2001, Mr. Smith, along with Greg Herman purchased the Austin Retail Division of Weston Companies and formed StoneCrest Investments where he serves as Chief Executive Officer.

 

Prior to the formation of StoneCrest Investments, Mr. Smith joined Dallas, Texas based Vantage Companies, which became Weston Companies, as a retail partner in 1987, where he established Weston's Retail Division and served as its Managing Officer and President since its inception.  There, Mr. Smith was responsible for development, management, and leasing of more than 6 million square feet of retail centers.  His duties included locating properties for retail development, acquiring property, leasing of anchor tenants, design input, overseeing of development from inception to completion of all retail projects and all day-to-day operations of the retail division.

 

Mr. Smith also served as the Chief Manager of the Weston & Kroger joint venture company - T&W Retail Development Company.  Weston was one of only a few companies nationwide that have had a joint venture approval of The Kroger Company, the largest grocery store operation in the United States.

 

Prior to joining Weston Companies, he was Vice President of a Dallas development company, where he was responsible for retail development operations and leasing.  Mr. Smith was also Vice President of the Brienwolf Corporation of Houston, Texas, where he was responsible for leasing and development services for a portfolio of neighborhood shopping centers in the Houston SMSA market.

 

In early 1998, Mr. Smith completed the $80 million sale of six of Weston's shopping centers to ERE Yarmouth, the largest pension advisory firm in the world.  This transaction was one of the largest, single retail sales in Memphis, Tennessee history.  He is a licensed real estate broker in Texas and in Tennessee; as well as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, having served 1991-1994 as its Tennessee and Arkansas State Director.

 

Mr. Smith is a member of Who's Who in Real Estate Development and was recognized in 1991 and 1996 as one of the "Outstanding Young Men of America".  In 1997, Brad was named by the Memphis Business Journal as one of the "Top Forty Executives in the Mid-South Under the Age of Forty", in its inaugural edition, which recognizes the top forty business leaders under the age of forty who have contributed significantly to the region's business as well as community affairs.

 

Mr. Smith served as a Trustee for the Georgetown Independent School District from 2003-2012, having served as President of the Board from 2007-2011.  He is also a board member and former Chairman of The Texas Life Sciences Collaboration Center which is a successful bio-tech incubator based in Georgetown, Texas.

 

Mr. Smith resides in Georgetown, Texas with his wife Lori.
